About the gallery
Opened in May 2025, Claraboia is an art gallery designed to bring together voices, contexts, and sensibilities that don’t always find visibility in the established art circuit.
Its work is dedicated to experimenting with new formats of collaboration and sustainable partnerships, guided by a commitment to making the art system more open and permeable. With a dynamic and diverse program, Claraboia pays special attention to young artists and to production from Brazil’s North and Northeast regions — not as a boundary, but as a point of radiation for dialogues between different generations, regions, and cultural matrices.
The program includes solo and group exhibitions, performances, courses, lectures, conversations, and other initiatives that seek to bring together timeless themes and urgent debates in contemporary Brazilian art.
Conceived and directed by photographer and entrepreneur Renata Vale, from Ceará, Claraboia was created in partnership with the Almeida & Dale group, which since 1998 has played a central role in promoting the legacy of foundational artists and strengthening contemporary production on a global scale.

Manifesto
There is a certain beauty in understanding oneself through discovery.
Definition is a task of the middle, not of the end. Guimarães Rosa knew it: the real unfolds in the crossing. And in that in-between, Claraboia builds its own path in the arts.
It becomes clear, then, the need to propose a new form, sustained by other values.
It draws near, first, to its roots, to the North and Northeast, and to the many talents there who deserve recognition.
It draws near to the people who love art, without measuring intensity, and opens space for new relationships to form.
It draws near to artists, so they may be close to other artists, curators, and audiences.
It draws near to the market, collaboratively, in an attempt to do something new.
It draws near to the regions and connects Brazil’s many cultures.
It draws near to collectors, those who already are and those who wish to be, and shares the same enthusiasm for art.
It draws near to young talents and lets them speak with the great ones.
It draws near to other experiences and opens the doors for new voices to speak about art.
It draws near to everyday matters and great themes, under a unifying curatorship.
It draws near to artistic practice, to experimentation by nature.
It draws near to the Brazilian way, language, and knowledge, with the dream of positioning them globally.
It draws near, at last, to what is far and brings it close.
Then, together, the path to a new world of the arts is discovered.
